Charming, spacious and wonderfully furnished country home for rent

A special place to live...

This is a rare opportunity to rent a lovely country house, fully furnished down to the linens, silverware and charm.  The Moses Gage Leonard House has been part of the Wolslegel family for over 36 years and has an interesting history.  The house was constructed in classic Greek revival style in approximately 1840.  Moses Gage Leonard, a U.S. Congressman originally from New York, lived in the house in the mid 1800's, as did the town doctor.  With many original beautiful wide plank pine floors, antique ceramic doorknobs, two staircases and a central chimney, the house has retained its classic country feel.  A large brick fireplace complete with a glass-front woodstove, accents the oak floors in the family room.  With the warmth and glow of the woodstove, you'll be tempted to grab a good book, get comfortable on the new sofa, and allow time to slow down for a while...

A detailed list of the property features can be found in "Services" and rental terms are included in "About Us".

Woodstock is located in the heart of Connecticut's "Quiet Corner".  The May/June, 2007 issue of National Geographic Traveller includes a wonderful article on the Quiet Corner, including Woodstock.
